I've been a little obsessed with morning smoothies for a while now. Quick, healthy and delicious, they are the perfect way to detox your body, especially when using antioxidant rich ingredients like blueberries.
A few of my favourite ingredients are kale for liver health, agave nectar for inflammation and the immune system, ginger to detoxify and soothe the stomach and omega-3 rich chia seeds for brain health.
I've promised myself to blog more this summer, so I thought I'd start by sharing three of my favourite recipes with you!
Half a cucumber, chopped
1 cup chopped mango
1 cup kale
1 teaspoon or tablespoon of fresh chopped ginger
(depending on how strong you like it)
Juice of half a lemon
Spring of mint
1 tablespoon of agave syrup
1/2 cup of yoghurt
1/2 cup cold water
